They're still the same teaching of the same religion. I know a lot of christians who're all too happy to preach the happy stuff and ignore the gruesome reality of their god using the old testament/new testament song and dance. A murderer is still a murderer even if he was nice after the fact. And the christian god supposedly killed thousands. I don’t differentiate between the books when christians bring something up. Biblically speaking, that's correct, but that's Old Testament stuff. Jesus is the New Testament stuff... though there are plenty of questionable passages from him, anyway.
