RationalityNow.com was created as a way to take action against the flood of religious fundamentalism that has been slowly taking control of the United States of America. We believe that religious belief in all parts of the world is irrational at best and life-threateningly dangerous at worst. The forced indoctrination of our children by religious parents of all denominations has led to an overwhelming surge of anti-intellectualism and we fear for the freedoms and ideals upon which the United States of America were founded.
By promoting rational thought and honest, intellectual questioning, we are joining other freethinkers around the world in the critical task of instilling a sense of natural awe in the universe; a sense of awe that is not cheapened and minimized by the vapid, delusional explanations of religious dogma.
